Sitting at home now two days after this incredible event I try to summarize, but it’s difficult to do it. There’s so many impressions that it’s simply both uninteresting and unnecessary. SSWC is a phenomen even if the “unconference” concept is not new, it’s still something fantastic that has happened. For all of us that was there it’s something slightly magical, maybe even epic in a way. (Let’s compare it with the people present at Woodstock, they all can say: “I was there!” And so can we on our “Webstock!)

One image that’s got etched in my memory is after we have arrived to the camp and all got their places to sleep in order (tents and cabins) and get together at the “bar”. There, standing in the rain, most of us without rainclothes, we stand and start the conversations not bothered with the rain…. Pure Magic…. Because in all do respect to the “keynotes” and other evnts like Twinglys presentation of Project Shinobi, it was the conversations that was the IT thing during this weekend.

And surely most of us will be at the next Web Camp next year, and let’s hope the sponsors realizes what a great event it is and will contribute more next time.

So now donw to reality, what will I take with me from the camp? Well, primarily the meetings with both new and old friends. Some people I had in my networks since beginning last year but never got around to meet. New friends I’ve got during these marvelous days and I’m sure we all will connect even more after the event.

Let’s face it, the essence of Socialmedia is the conversation, and the sharing of experiences and ideas. So my hope we will see it more during this Fall and for me it would be really interesting if some other can get ‘infected’ with it (read: Politicians) they have to learn that their Persona has to be much clearer. And especially if we look forward to the coming election here in Sweden next year.

For me it’s so clear and obvious that if you want to participate, you also have to be active and converse, the level of involvement you choose yourself but to participate you need to converse!

So too all of us:

Let’s put Social back in Socialmedia!

Thanks to Thomas Wennström and Kristin Heinonen for putting together a Magical and fantastic event! You guys are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

Now some photos from the event, more can be seen in my Flickr account and in the group SSWC 2009.
